Suddenly everything changed. Literally everything. I moved safely from the smallest town in Germany to this never sleeping city, London. And yes I know it's a term which you usually would use to describe New York but it's definitely true when it comes to London, too. Speaking of which I cannot describe how much I'm in love with the apartment I'm living at, the area I have to cross when I walk to my dream working place and all the new great people I already met. I think everyone who followed this blog a little can imagine how crazy I am about working in fashion. And now finally everything is coming together. Let's get this started!

Since I'm moving from Germany to London and from Blogger to Wordpress at the same time I've got into more "trouble" I've expected. The past two years I always announced on this blog that big news are coming up or that there is a lot of exciting things to expect. Now, during the change, everything is so much more valuable to me. What I've done to make the blog work is finally now getting in shape. By that I mean that I am slowly reaching the point I want my blog to be like. Well, honestly, I will never reach that because expectations are always higher then possible. For now I'm very happy to post a little favourite outfit during all the changes. I could wear ripped jeans and printed or black shirts each and every day.

London Town
I still cannot believe that my move to London is only a few days away. I wanted to share some pictures with you now from my trip to London a few weeks ago in order to say hello at my future work place (stay tuned) and in order to find a room to call London my home. Thoes photos - basically all photos of this post - are taken spontaneosly whilst running around in this crazy city. During my trip I fell in love with Soho and the view from the southwark bridge which you can see on the second photo.

London Launch Party hosted by Shini Park
Another exciting thing besides my internship, my new home and the great new poeple I met was the Launch Party that was hosted by my favourite blogger on earth alias Shini Park from Park & Cube. I've been a regular reader and one of her biggest fans (my friends will probably know what I am talking about) for I guess 3 years now. It was such an honor to get to meet her. The moment I saw her was exciting for me than the moment I received my A-levels - I ask myseld if this comparsion is even legitimate - but it really felt like on of these parts when a young kid is going to disney land for the first time. I am so thankful for the chance to have a talk, a gin tonic and an insagram with the amazing Shini Park.

We should deffo meet up
That's all I can say. I met a bunch of great people during one and a half week who I can hopefully count as my freinds in the near future. This is another reason why I love London. You get in touch with people that share the same interets so fast weather you're having lunch at Brick Lane or having truble with your Oyster Card. Apart from meeting loads of new poeple I met some "oldiess" too like Cailin from Birds of a feather flock together. I was so great to have lunch in Notting Hill, having nights out and talking about fashun. I am really looking forward to meet a lot of (even more) cool people in London.

I am back in Germany in my hometown with absolutely no clue and no inspiration where to shoot my outfits. I really can't wait to move to London - I already found plenty of locations where I'd love to shoot some outfits. Back to the topic, let's talk fashion. I bough these beautiful green pants a few months ago at Zara. There made out of a very soft cotton fabric that almost feels like you'd wear sweatpants (I think everyone would recommend that) but still got that chic twist at the top of the pants. Anyways, I put on my brogues shoes from the fleamarket combined with white socks that you can obviously see. I think socks, especially white ones, will be a beloved trend this summer. Eventhough I'm still not into the high knee version with Birkenstocks. Let's see what the summer will show us!

Models: Hannah T., Simon M., Klara K., Cailin K.

I took those photos during the past few days, even weeks. When I go through my old archieves I recognize how much I'm into taking potrait photos of my friends. Now I decided to take more portrait pictures in order to create a whole portfolio at the end of the year. Most of those photos are taken very spontaneously on the street. What I really enjoy is that most of those pictures are taken so spontaneously that the models don't even had a clue that they're just being photographed. As a result you can hardly see any fear in the eyes of the them. At the moment I'm planning to take loads of photos in London, especially of its lifestyle and people to fill my portfolio. If you are from London and you're not shy standing in front of the camera while hiding your face asking me what to do now just send me a quick e-mail to bloggersimon@t-online.

quick hello from the city

IMG_1532_bIMG_1597_b

Hello dear readers! A lot of you asked what I will be doing here in London and I thought I'll have to explain something. I will move in July to London in order to work as a fashion assistant for a succesfull fashion label which I will announve later. Last week I received my a levles and so I left the country ASAP which was actually my dream for years. So now I'm sitting here in a Cafe in Brick Lane, figured out how to take the bus and the tube (and I have to say I love taking the bus because you get to see so much unless it's not rush hour ). I really can't wait to move to London in July and really live the life without thinking about weather to take the Picadilly or Central Line. I got to know so many people here the past few days and I feel very inspired by this never sleeping city.

// Tanktop c/o Stoffbar

This is the first time ever that I collaborated with a local designer what acutally makes me feel really honored to present the very small art and fashion scene of my hometown Würzburg. The desginer Meike-Lesley Neumann just launched her collection "Brooklyn" at the boutique Stoffbar in Würzburg. The collection is all about the time the designer spend living in Brooklyn. The jersey oversized shirts with a little cut-out are all in black and white and very minimalistic. The designer told me that her collection is her expression of passion. The strikethrough part of the printed "Brooklyn" shows the cleavage that Meike-Lesley feels about staying in Germany or moving back to America. All in all I really enjoy the collection "Brooklyn" because of its minimalistic yet sporty vibe. I feel very lucky about the collaboration with a local designer. If you want to buy some pieces of the collection just have a look at Stoffbar in Würzburg! It's worth it.
